Common to have multiple spouses there or just another common example of ruling class ok for me but not for thee behavior?
Usually if it is common, both are true. The population is about 51% women and 49% men. For one man to have 4 wives that usually means 2 or more men have no wives. So, guess who gets the ladies. The ruling class. Not coincidentally, such areas are where you can often get suicide bombers. Especially if your religion promises the 40 virgins in the next life. The drive to have sex is generally the most powerful motivator there is.
Pressure from parents in-law must be enormous. "Grandchild when???"
What's it like living there now? I remember reading the book (forgetting title) where it was named the Happiest Place On Earth, does it still feel that way? It's on my destination list, but I haven't been traveling much so it might he a long time before I make my way there.
Very pretty people, all of them. All fancied up in their best. This is obviously the royal wardrobe. Looks very comfy.
Are the common clothes much like this in it's design? Just not as shiny? Is this the the traditional dress of the people?
