All you have to do is make the best action movie of the 21st century and boom, franchise revived!
And then wait almost a decade to release a sequel!

It was, it.was just nowhere near as good so we all forgot about it.
I suppose that's the corollary, if you try to follow up the best action movie of the 21st century, best not miss.
Definitely, look at Dark Knight
Blade Runner 2049 was another very good late sequel, except for the unfortunate fact that Jared Leto is in it.
Tron: Legacy was great except for the uncanny valley Jeff Bridges.
Top Gun: Maverick. Rocky Balboa. Creed.
It's rare, but it can happen.
I think Jared Leto is a pretty good casting choice. He's a self absorbed douche so he barely had to act.
Fury Road retold Beyond Thunderdome's story and it's ending sucked. The best thing about the film is it's action.
