My cousin was an Olympic sprinter and that couldn't make me give a fuck about the Olympics. Honestly it just seems like another thing to distract families so they have something to talk about. Also, the committee is basically run by the mob. Hard pass.
It's one of the few things where most of the world fights without anybody dying. We need way more things like the Olympics to remind us we are all part of the same species sharing a collective space ship Earth.
The Olympics may be interesting, but they won't be happening in the United States.
