Piefed.social links open in a browser instead of Mlem. I am unsure what kind of black magic you do to make lemmy links open within Mlem, but can you extend the spell to piefed too?

Thanks, we'll look into it. I've opened an issue here :)

I was thinking with certain versions not being supported adding backend version to the account “long press” options (bottom middle button) and color code them - unsupported red, older but still supported yellow, current release or close to it green, and beta version blue. Even without the colors just seeing the version would probably be helpful in case something seemed wonky. As always, thanks and love the app!

Thanks for the suggestion!

We try to only deprecate support once a version is basically unused—beehaw was the only major instance still on 0.18, so we maintained support until they recently upgraded. There are still a few personal instances running 0.18, but that’s an extremely small fraction of the user base.

We have an issue open to handle those cases—we’ll take your thoughts into account!
