Notes:

• I know for a fact that there is a third hand shot in Toradora, but I forgot to take a screencap of it and I'm not going to rewatch the whole show in search of one specific shot that lasted for like two seconds. There are probably a million other hand shots from anime I watched before I started this project, and probably other hand shots I simply forgot to screencap. Shoganai.
• The first screencap I took in connection with this was actually a third-person shot, from the first episode of Serial Experiments Lain. Not shown here.
• Yes, I did start doing this after watching The End of Evangelion, and after that point being unable to see any similar hand shots to the one from That Scene without immediately going "Oh, God dammit!"
• If I were more obsessive I would make a spreadsheet with the exact time stamps and episodes of each hand shot and chronicle everything about the hand position, skin tone, finger length, which hands are used, things visible in the background, whether there is something on or in the hand, whether there was dialog at the same time as the hand shot et cetera, all for calculating the average anime hand shot... But alas, I am not that obsessive, promise.
