Theme justification: Myself, u/BossHoggins10, u/djundjila, and u/sahenders all shaved with SSL.

In fact @BossHoggins10@sub.wetshaving.social and I used essentially the same setup. CF TI Legacy, Gillette Silver Blue blades, uncoined RDC handles with synth knots, and SSL. I don't own the SSL frag, so I had to go with something else instead.

Daily challenge: It isn't easy to single out just a few folks to thank; the entire community has been, for the most part, extremely friendly and welcoming since I wandered in.

$FOF - SSL works very nicely with the petit grain, lavender, rosemary, thyme, and lemon of Jean Marie Farina EdC. The spiciness of SSL softens really nicely with the herbs in the frag.

I love this fragrance, I just wish it lasted for longer. Though it's hard to complain at such a reasonable price.

$SELFCARE - I pulled a muscle in my back this morning while doing a sprint workout. Instead of toughing it out and staying at the office all day, I left early and spent the afternoon working from home in bed with my cats. :)

Daily Theme: I was looking forward to today's theme mainly because the crew (u/BossHoggins10, u/djundjila, and u/snoo-ting) over at the Lemmy Wetshaving instance had decided to use SSL, and you can't go wrong with SSL. I also tried to match their hardware as well using the CF Legacy and a RDC brush.

Daily Challenge: A huge shout out to the Buena Vista Wetshaving Social Club (BVWSC) on Lemmy! Once a month, we all get together and try out a new soap the group votes on—kind of like today's theme. And a massive thank you to @walden@sub.wetshaving.social for keeping the Lemmy instance running smoothly.

Rookie Card has quite the goal for its fragrance; attempting to recall regular trips to 7-Eleven for slurpies, candy, and baseball cards. And recalling the aroma of "cheap, minty bubblegum and powdered cardboard".

I liked the soap and the scent, but got none of the nostalgia. I'm in the wrong generation for this.

I really like the idea of this challenge, and I love u/Impressive_Donut114's idea of a group soap experience to meet this challenge. I learned of it, not though u/Impressive_Donut114's original PIF, but through u/raymoonie (thanks!). Thanks also go to u/Josiguuh who was able to share some of his smush so that I could participate today.

A group of shavers experiencing a new soap? Well this is what the Buena Vista Wetshaving Social Club (BVWSC) is all about! This happens over on sub.wetshaving.social every month! Much thanks to @walden@sub.wetshaving.social for all his administrative efforts over there.

Daily Theme: Originally, u/snoo-ting and I agreed to use our SSL sets today, but u/brokenjaw622 joined forces and so did u/djundjila and u/sahenders. Although BrokenJaw was originally supposed to use SSL with us, some djudges pushed his buttons and he has officially gone rogue. I used Catie's Bubbles for Wildcard Wednesday and he's since been holding my razor hostage, threatening to use it for devious acts!!! Somebody get control of this man!!!

Daily Challenge: I'm sure as soon as he saw the challenge yesterday, he probably knew it would be about him. After recently joining the discord last year, I was asking questions about brushes and u/KerblimeySkal gave me sage advice. I DM'ed asking more questions because I didn't want to blow up the server and he was more than helpful offering me different options to help me with my brush and explained things in smooth brain level of understanding. To be honest, I don't even know what the heck I was asking about and he can attest to my memory issues. Since then, we converse on a regular basis about nonsense, talk each other off ledges when we want to impulse purchase shaving gear, and talk some more nonsense. I consider him a very good friend of mine and that is something I cherish considerably of this hobby. Come for the shaving and stay for the company and the laughs. Thanks man for welcoming and answering a noob's questions and being a friend.

It was surprisingly hard to find someone else to match today (at the last minute). I scanned through and u/sirkravsalot was the only one who had used something I have in my den. Obviously a lot of people had planned ahead for today, and it shows! Nice work!

Daily Challenge:

I'd like to thank u/gcgallant (@gcgallant@sub.wetshaving.social). From being a voice of reason on the Fediverse version of r/wetshaving, to being involved in the Straight Razor Revolution with his video shaves, tutorials, free advice, being the money-man for the Moarteen group buy, and on and on and on... He's a slow and steady positive influence on the shaving community.

The razor that I used today was a gift from him (well, he loaned it to me, but I might steal it!). I've had various levels with success with this particular razor, and today's shave was my favorite with it so far! I've recently increased my stropping to 75+, and I do believe it's helping quite a bit. The razor felt so nimble and nice today. No tugging, and it felt almost as "safe" as my Joseph Rogers & Sons near-wedge.

This was my 33rd straight razor shave which is surprising, because I thought I was still under 30. I must have miscounted last time.

Loft & diameter aren't listed, but you can trust me or this extremely trustworthy retailer. Omega produces in Bologna, Italy. 6 tags for this little guy isn't bad at all.
