Does anyone else whittle? Johnny Layton is an amazing teacher. His video on sharpening led me to cutting paper with my knife for the first time in my life. Finally having a sharp knife has made whittling more fun

But, is the beard long enough??

That's pretty cool. I've yet to even attempt whittling.

Looks so cool! How long did it take?

Thanks! Two hours

Ah, a fellow whittler! I started out with a bunch of Doug Linker video's. I'm currently working on the first piece of what should become a full medieval chess set.

Doug Linker is great! I’ve done a couple of his tutorials. I can’t wait to see that chess set when it’s done

I want to get into whittling, so thanks for the tip on the channel!

Everyone should enjoy making some form of art in their off time, you did a wonderful job wittling your little guy there! It must be very calming to put electronics down and enjoy making trinkets.

It really is. Whittling is great bc it’s the one kind of woodworking you can do without your shop. Sitting around a fire or even inside on a rainy day
