It's like the US is just handing their power to China. I love it, but are they just that dumb or is there some benefit to the ruling class I'm not seeing?
The benefit is to this quarters profits. Capitalism cannot and will not think long term. China is thinking many many years in advance. Eventually that long term planning will win out over the endless race for next quarters profits, and the world is finally starting to see what that might look like.
It's funny I typed a reply very similar to this. China is making plans and following through for 20+ years while the US can barely stick to a plan for 3 months
I suspect they think they don't need to make deals or sign treaties or agreements. They probably see them as pointless and they can just strong arm countries to do what they want via force, military or economic. That seems to be the modus operandi of the Republican style of governance.
At this point, I'm convinced they are just dumb.
You gotta just apply Occam's razor at some point. Does it make more sense that this is part of some well-thought-out plan, or is it just that the high level leadership of the USA are a bunch of shit for brains know-nothings?
Exactly, it's becoming increasingly difficult to see what the plan here could possibly be.
They really are just that dumb
Easier and they assume cheaper to buy the finished product from China than it is to invest in it's development
