How I read this: 'This legislation would make putting lead sweetener in wine very difficult'
How tasty is lead sweetener and how fast does lead poisoning onset? I might have a last meal request.

This is obviously true since publishers of games with private servers are constantly being sued for those things. Like continuously sued all the time, never ending torrent of lawsuits!
I'm amazed that all the companies that still put out games that can be played on private servers are able to afford the legal costs!
Aren’t they only being asked to open source the servers at the end of a a game’s life?
Yep, but not necessarily even that much. Releasing the server software as a compiled binary would fit the bill as well.
