Don't really know why 2 paths were needed but alas. There is also one more to the left that is not visible.

Because you are looking at it from the destination. People from across that field all want to reach that point you're at and their paths gather like rivers flowing together.

My guess is one of the paths gets full of puddles before the other during the rain.

Hi, username cousin!

[-] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Could be. I remember like 5 years ago there was only one path and it was not worn down to the dirt but was just grass for quite a while

Love me some desire paths, you can't ever have too many of them!

[-] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 week ago

The Romans paved theirs down to the bedrock. ๐Ÿ˜œ

Maybe the silver car owner always parks there, and later in the day when they return to it they need their own desire path

[-] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

I probably should have waited for the car to pass. Never see anyone park there.

Planet earth. Or do you want the coordinates? The sign can also allow you to decipher the country.

[-] morphballganon@lemmynsfw.com 3 points 6 days ago

Was that easier than saying the country?

[-] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world -2 points 6 days ago

Well I had no idea how accurately you wanted to know

[-] morphballganon@lemmynsfw.com 2 points 6 days ago

The simplest explanation for your evasiveness is that you stole the photo and don't know where it was taken ๐Ÿ˜”

[-] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

Here you go. The exact spot I took the photo.

This city looks amazing, do you live there? I love Slovenia

[-] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 0 points 5 days ago

Yeah I do. Sadly the city is besieged by tourists every summer and it's a traffic hell.

[-] ddplf@szmer.info 1 points 5 days ago

I get you, must be tough if you're not directly taking profit off of it. Covid times must've been sweet though, eh? Haha

[-] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

Covid was bliss. Could go around the lake and meet less than 5 people.

I do profit off it a bit since I work at the tourist office as an information dude during summers. Mostly just because the job is easy, short hours and pays alright. Also it's quite flexible and I still have not managed to finish a year at uni without any exams spilling into the august/september exam period so I need time and energy to study.

Some summer jobs just dont leave you with any of that.

Isn't it beautiful how they join? They could be straight but chose to combine.

[-] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago

You paint a pretty narrative. But sadly it is one path splitting into 2 and not 2 combining into one. The right fork has been there for over 10 years and the left one is younger than 2 years.

[-] 7eter@feddit.org 3 points 6 days ago

It had offspring - how wonderful ;p

[-] Alcoholicorn@mander.xyz 0 points 5 days ago

In 74 years, there will be 10 paths.

[-] motor_spirit@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

gonna go ahead and guess these are typical walkers gravitating towards different ends of the street as they near the sidewalk, makes sense

[-] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Maybe. But the forked end goes to a low traffic road without sidewalk and pretty much just alleyways.

[-] motor_spirit@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

that's for the nighttime crime fighter route ๐ŸŒ

[-] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

This is what vintage story needs...... I wonder how hard it would be to implement.....
