The former president claimed, without evidence, that the Biden administration had "allowed tens of thousands of probable terrorists into this country.”

Former President Donald Trump used the ongoing conflict in Israel and the Gaza Strip to stoke fears on Monday about immigration into the United States, pledging to reimpose a travel ban on people coming from predominantly Muslim countries.

“As president, I will once again stand strongly with the state of Israel, and we will cut off the money to the terrorists on day one,” Trump, who is running for the 2024 GOP nomination, said during a campaign rally in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. He added he would “reimpose the travel ban on terror-afflicted countries.”

I wish all the inhumanities and sufferings this world has to offer befall him. I personally would not bat an eye at the headline "Trump first American sentenced to serve life sentence in solitary confinement."

Almost anyone else in this world I'd say that's inhumane, but for him, I'd simply say "That is just, that is moral, that is right." And then I'd do everything I could to forget he ever existed. I would remember shits I've taken more fondly.

I'd bat both eyes to make sure I wasn't just imagining it and then I'd party for a week.

Isn’t life in solitary just supermax without letters? For most practical purposes not only will he not be the first, we have a specific facility for it

Only time I would welcome him visiting Colorado. Florence is perfect for him.

Really funny he's going all "War On Terror*" still, yet he's the one who pulled us out of Afghanistan and let it immediately fall to the Taliban.

    • This isn't really a "War" on terror declaration, this is more like a "Be Afraid of Terror" stance.

Q: Did Trump lie?
A: If his lips were moving, then yes.

[-] TechyDad@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

Not entirely true.

Trump also lies when his lips aren't moving, but his fingers are.

Stop the money going to terrorists? Is that because he’s taking money from the Saudi’s already? What will change?

[-] samus12345@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

This again? He already tried a bullshit Muslim travel ban. He really does have no new ideas, does he? Even for fear-mongering. He just regurgitates the greatest hits over and over.

[-] Pratai@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 year ago

Lol…. Trump talking shit about terrorists! Oh the irony.

[-] VikingHippie@lemmy.wtf 2 points 1 year ago

Come to think of it, isn't a less obvious but still discriminate version of the travel ban still in effect to this day?

For someone whose entire campaign platform was "I'm not Trump", Biden hasn't exactly been in a hurry to undo much of the damage Trump did..

[-] Doomsider@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

It is almost like Biden is really a moderate and not a radical. Fox News lied!

[-] VikingHippie@lemmy.wtf 3 points 1 year ago

He's actually more conservative than moderate but yeah, I share your lack of surprise about Faux News lying completely lol
