Is it bcz there are people in Congress who are in the files? Sounds like they're not just protecting Trump.
People in Congress and/or people who are funding people in Congress.
Going off what we know so far, many of American elites were either involved or must have known.
As in this silence is a quite severe complicity they should be stripped of any and all power, any and all wealth and those who cannot be made to rot in prison should have their names shunned forever.
They think it's going to blow over by the time they get back
