I would give it about three seconds before the nosy neighbour starts asking everybody why there’s cops out front of your house.
In Canada, you can own one. You just can't drive it around and use it as a civilian vehicle.
Believe it or not you can own a fleet of cruisers, a wardrobe of uniforms, an arsenal of weapons, and beat your wife & neighbours t'boot if you have the right friends in the RCMP. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Nova_Scotia_attacks
I wasn't expecting that! But my question is with driving the car in mind. I know I said you could do whatever, but where's the fun if not...?
I have no idea what my local laws are, but I noticed something the other day about my local police vehicles that I will never be able to unsee.
Excellent font choice.
In my area it's completely legal, so long as the siren and lights aren't used. So, indefinitely. Or until the law changes.
I don't know if it's actually illegal where I am, but it would definitely result in me getting pulled over for stuff I normally get away with.
In my area? It's hard to say. There's a good amount of cops, so it'd probably be easy to get lost in the sauce for at least a few days, maybe a week. Eventually one of them will notice the "cop" car that isn't a model they've ever had, and has regular plates. They'll get curious and start asking around and when they figure it out they'll all be keeping an eye out for me.
No Stupid Questions
There is no such thing as a Stupid Question!
Don't be embarrassed of your curiosity; everyone has questions that they may feel uncomfortable asking certain people, so this place gives you a nice area not to be judged about asking it. Everyone here is willing to help.

- ex. How to tie shoes
