Originally thought it was just another survival crafting game and was immediately put off but Jesse Cox seemed to enjoy it so gave it a go and its so so so much more than a survival crafting game.

Still early on in act 1 but it's extremely compelling so far with the idea of having to keep your crew happy and keep everything maintained there's so much to do and never enough people to handle it. Interested to see how the story plays out also the mini movies are entertaining.

It's a really fun, definitely a multiple playthrough game. I like how they took a genre that's known for having no heart or story and just packed it to the brim with it.

The little moments where you are focused on optimizing production because the storm is coming and you're in game mode, then you come back to the base and all the homies are dour and tired and you realize that you just pushed them all way too hard for a few days. That's a super new kinda feeling in a game.

Then again that's kinda the Frostpunk vibe, just much more personal.

Yahtzee said it’s most likely his game of the year, and excluding particular genre exceptions I tend to follow his opinions pretty closely. I didn’t actually watch his whole review to avoid spoilers, I’ll have to check it out.

Finished it a couple of weeks ago. Really good game, might be a contender for game of the year for me!
