I'm happy this movie is finally getting some love. I first saw it as a kid and always enjoyed it.

When this came out when I was a kid, what I really wanted was the recent Mario movie.

Now, as an adult, I definitely dig this weird shit lol

The thing is, the original cut had an end scene that made it kind of passable.

SpoilerBasically, two Nintendo executives finish talking with 2 of the guys about what happened, and try to buy the rights to their story so they can make a video game.

Also, seeing the Super Scope 6 in a movie was sick. I loved that damn bazooka thing.

It may not be a good Super Mario movie, but I enjoy it.

Not the Morton Jankel cut though.

Haven't checked out the rough cut restoration project but the movie needs a real director's cut version. It's a classic and before its time

I watched this version a while ago and wrote a review. I really enjoyed it and I think the extra scenes actually improved the film.

Yeah I mean maybe the overall structure of the movie wasn't quite there, but the end scene with the Nintendo executives really ties it together.

This documentary also shines some light on the film's extremely troubled production.
