This is terror. ICE is a terrorist organization. That is why they must cover their faces. No one admits to being a terrorist.

What's more likely to cause me harm today, ICE or ISIS?

Terrorism is the use of violence or the threat of violence to accomplish political, social, or ideological goals. This is the dictionary definition of terrorism.

[-] AmbitiousProcess@piefed.social 8 points 6 months ago

Even ICE's own website states this. They quite literally define themselves as terrorists if you compare their actions to their words.

We should all wear masks again. And riot gear

[-] omniman@piefed.zip -1 points 6 months ago

Covering the face also means protecting their identity from bad people

Why don't the cops wear masks then? Or judges and lawyers? They are constantly dealing with bad people but have no issues and no masks.

Stop buying into their bullshit.

[-] omniman@piefed.zip 1 points 6 months ago

They are not going into their house to catch them

End qualified immunity needs to end yesterday.

[-] ArbitraryValue@sh.itjust.works 0 points 6 months ago

What does qualified immunity have to do with this?

[-] Bluefalcon@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 6 months ago

Hold officer accountable, federal and state.

[-] ArbitraryValue@sh.itjust.works -5 points 6 months ago

Accountable for what? This guy's death was not the result of misconduct by police officers.

Romero, the UCLA professor, said the Home Depot operation appeared to be in violation of the federal court order barring the government from carrying out these types of raids. Last month, a federal judge issued a temporary restraining order preventing federal agents from carrying out indiscriminate immigration arrests based on a person’s race, language, vocation or location.

They are chasing a person for no crime. They believe he is illegal. No proof, just brown skin. That is racially profiling which is illegal. Also a judge told them to stop this shit bc it is illegal. It's in the article.

It's obvious, not sure what the other person is talking about. Literally the same mentality that if someone is innocent, they should comply with everything and hide nothing, no matter how unreasonable. That's not right, we should be holding those in positions of authority to a higher standard than those who are not.

[-] Drusas@fedia.io 11 points 6 months ago

This should count as manslaughter.

[-] onslaught545@lemmy.zip 8 points 6 months ago

Murder. They killed him through terrorism.

[-] TuffNutzes@lemmy.world 6 points 6 months ago

Death by fascism.
