I'm confused about the numbers on the weapon descriptions. Like this one below says 56-84 damage per hit, but when using it with a skill, it does the damage per hit that is associated with the skill instead (like 15 or something). Is the 56-84 damage per hit only if you are using it for a basic attack (meaning what... do people actually just not assign anything to the A button so that they can still do their basic attack?

And if these numbers are actually replaced by the damage numbers indicated on the skill, then does it matter if you ever upgrade the weapon, or will any weapon that works for the skill be fine?

Hope I'm making sense...

Basically, skill damage scales the weapon damage. If you've got advanced tooltips enabled, you can see the multiplier when looking at the skill. Some skills will do 100% weapon damage, some will do 50%, etc.

Thanks for not posting a video. They have their place, but for something like this I do appreciate being able to scan and reread at my own pace. Maxroll has a lot of good articles and guides too
