I'm not a media conglomerate marketing or product development exec, and I'm like decades removed from the Gen Z demo, but my guess is they might have some success by just trying to make something broadly appealing about a person coded around the age of 13-28 going on a solo-ish journey, facing conflict, receiving a boon, returning to community, and never once being a piece of garbage or a caricature. maybe put some talented people on it to develop some novel IP.
no need to hype the Christ out of it or tie it into a meme/product for cross promotional synergy. just tell a goddamn story. it's amazing how people have been doing this with nothing but light, their voice and their hands for hundreds of thousands of years, but these assholes with all the material, labor, and talent pool of the modern world can't figure this out.
guess this is why you're not supposed to gut the literature, classics and humanities departments.
