I've got a Scarlett Solo 3rd gen and love it. I think it's the perfect box for a desktop setup. Its got XLR for a mic, an instrument input, TRS outputs for speakers, and direct monitor support. I've had mine for years and it's been flawless
I have a Behringer UMC202HC and I use with microphone and electric guitar. It can accept quarter inch (edit: and XLR) inputs and outputs. I use a quarter inch to eighth inch adapter for my headphones, I assume you can get an adapter for yours as well.
The interface allows for active monitoring of both channels (sending audio to headphones) and you can pipe computer audio in as well. Whatever DAW you’re using can also help with setting that up.
I use an MXL 990 condenser mic which has lasted for years and has good quality.
I have used in the past a Yamaha Steinberg UR12. it supports 24bit 192kHz. Has one XLR input for anything that supports it as well as headphone monitor and guitar plug input. Provides 48v phantom power as well.
