A know issue, seems like having almost any extension enabled can cause this issue. A temp fix is to disable and re enable the extensions. https://gitlab.com/relan/fennecbuild/-/issues/134
No fix yet unfortunately

Great find!
There's also a bug tracking this at Mozilla, which definitely needs more info.
Finally made the switch to Ironfox which replaces Mull as a even more privacy friendly firefox fork on android. Ironfox doesn't have that problem currently.
I did too! Great experience so far, feels super snappy (though I did remove some extensions I was no longer using tbf)
I've been having the same problem, and it seems to be some kind of https resolution thing. I thought maybe it was a proxy or VPN issue, but I disabled those and rebooted and it was still the same.
What fixes it for me is to load literally any page(I use duckduckgo) on the built in browser on Lineage and then go back to Fennec and it runs like normal until it doesn't again. I'm hoping an update comes soon.
Ok, so I'm not the only one! If I hit "quit" instead of just swiping the window away when I'm done, the next time I open Fennec it doesn't hang, but I usually forget to do this. I also have it set to delete everything (except, I think, cookies) on "quit."
Sadly I'm a tab hoarder so I never hit Quit :(
In my case once a tab fails to load it will generally never load no matter how many times I reload the tan. I can close that tab and paste the same URL into a different tab and it works fine.
Yes and there is an issue started on the gitlab for Fennec (which ironically I can't pull up right now to give you the link because it's hanging due to this bug).
There is a workaround that works for me, go to your settings within Fennec and turn on "Delete browsing data on quit" and only turn on the "cached images and files" so you don't lose saved logins and history. This will enable an "exit" option in the menu which fully closes the app and usually fixes the issue.
It seems that, with extensions enabled, I can shut off wifi, forcing it to use mobile data, and that works for me.
A place to discuss the news and latest developments on the open-source browser Firefox.
