Natural motion blur of the eyes in real life also makes them look like this lol. Like when a dog snaps at you, you just see a big fuckin' pit of swords, it's truly terrifying. At least in my experience. Maybe if you're someone who deals with angry/antisocial dogs all the time you get used to it and see it more objectively.
