It's funny. American conservatives believe in the "unitary executive" - the idea that the president, as long as he's Republican, has absolute, complete, and unlimited authority over every person in the executive branch.
And yet, their president is incapable of effectively wielding that authority, because he changes his mind so frequently and erratically that he can't maintain a consistent policy beyond "hurt my enemies".
So instead of a competent bureaucracy, you have a gaggle of petty tyrants, each controlling their own little piece of the bureaucracy and fighting for their own agendas, competing to flatter and fawn on the president and do the most harm to minorities and foreigners in his name, so they can get more authority to carry out their own goals and get their rivals fired.
History doesn't repeat itself, but it does rhyme.

That’s not true. He just agrees with whomever is bribing/blackmailing him.
Considering the Pandora Papers showed Zelenskyy himself was revealed to be amassing a fortune in bribes, I’m sure he could secure another for Trump from his backer or the weapons manufacturers profiting in this proxy war.
His back and forth on Ukraine and Putin is what his brain probably looks like. A fucking mess.
And his wallet. He decisions are definitely based on how he, personally, gets paid.
Nobody cares what he says anymore. Most people just pretend to listen and agree with him just to avoid trouble
This is what a messy break up with Putin looks like when he's not able to arrange for a window to appear and his former lover to suddenly accelerate through it.
