With a relevant (to superman) and harmless enough joke about how the FBI is claiming Charlie Kirk is The Man Of Steel AKA Superman, and how I don't believe that he actually was Superman. I mean I didn't even celebrate it, I just don't believe the claim.
But they left up all the other comments detailing why I don't believe the FBI and frankly I'm baffled.
I don't even know what's going on here, but this doesn't seem like it's removal worthy, so I'll go with PTB.

I'm confused about the mod actions, and I simply don't trust the official story. Does either of those fit the definition of "worked up?" I think for that I'd have to like, actually care, at least.
One can not make a post to YTB without being worked up.

The context was ice cream. Why did you bring the whole Charlie Kirk thing into it? There are plenty of communities for politics, I'm not surprised a wild detour like that was removed.
One comment therein said "you're not superman." A comment replied to it with a joke about Clark Kent, and then I replied to that with a joke about charlie kirk recently being touted as superman. By your "off topic" logic, the Clark Kent joke should also have been removed as it isn't related to ice cream either. And if it's just "anything slightly related to politics gets banned there" which I highly doubt and is not in the rules, why not remove the subsequent comments in the thread in which I expand on why I don't believe the FBI specifically?

This is a community in the spirit of "Am I The Asshole" where people can post their own bans from lemmy or reddit or whatever and get some feedback from others whether the ban was justified or not.
Sometimes one just wants to be able to challenge the arguments some mod made and this could be the place for that.
