Thanks to partnership with China, solar now contributes 9% of daily electricity demand in Cuba, up from just 2% in January (over a 4x increase). 51 more solar parks are under construction.

This is very good news. The US' oil embargo has been brutal on Cuba. The more solar power they can generate, the less America can strangle them.

Cuba Solar Irradiance

Cuba has pretty high solar irradiance everywhere in the country, not the best, but pretty good and consistent. Given how cheap solar + batteries is getting, it is a great way to achieve energy independence.

Watching China do shit like this, while the west is still huffing gas makes me so mad at our capitalist leaders. Like, this is so obviously the future, it could employ millions with green energy, and is better for the planet. BUT THEY WONT DO IT BECAUSE ITS COMMUNISM

the capitalists can't sell us the sun :)

i really like china's push in the renewable energy. sector because in the long run everyone will look at our corrupt lobbyists and say "wtf why aren't we doing this?!" and no amount of propaganda can change the discourse.

Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society.
