But man, these corporate talks. In what industry is Firefox leading??
I mean, their privacy and security tools are pretty advanced. They're certainly leading over Chrome over reducing ad tracking.
Just because their market share is next to nothing doesn't mean they don't have good features.
But how do you determine "industry-leading"? Just because something is good does not mean its the leading system. That's my problem with such marketing fluff.
Their product might not be leading but they are sure not behind in software development. Mozilla devs work (or used to or started) on two most important projects (at least for me) Rust and Servo.
And I know about the history and use Rust myself too. But these are complete different statements. I mean its like if suddenly Xbox says our industry leading console. I get that type of vibe. I'm not saying Firefox and Mozilla wouldn't be important. It's the best web browser we have (in my opinion).
If I'm correct Xbox X is leading in hardware for console. You can't just come up with secure software and langauge through imagination. Both servo and and rust are culmination of what mozilla has been doing or want to do but could not in existing projects. So, yeah. Pretty relevent.
How about an addon that blocks A.I.?
