Children are starving and the president is focused on renovating white house bathrooms with gold fixtures. He is certainly following Nero's footsteps.

It isn't your fucking house asshole.

[-] Kolanaki@pawb.social 3 points 2 months ago

Hey that's right. It's our (taxpayer's) house. We should evict him.

[-] tonytins@pawb.social 10 points 2 months ago

He is turning it into Mar-a-Lago.

[-] meathorse@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

I get it, he wants to make it feel like home if he's gonna be living there for the rest of his life.

He won't be stepping down from this gig, he knows the consequences he'll have to face if he becomes a normal citizen again.

I get it, he wants to make it feel like home if he’s gonna be living there for the rest of his life.

Much of the White House was decorated by Jackie Kennedy, and her husband ended up spending the rest of his life there, so maybe this will be the same thing...

I like the cut of your jib

[-] Hadriscus@jlai.lu 1 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

yea I think it's mostly fear driving his every move nowadays. He probably wants to spend his last days as unbothered as possible

[-] brem@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago

If we all try really hard, we can give him a bigly stroke. Hugely.

Like Cloud or Goku channeling the planet.

[-] AlternatePersonMan@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

Holy shit is that tacky.

Can you imagine the president having nothing better to do than golf, take pictures of the bathroom, and fuck children?

[-] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Ugh. I don't love the green, but that after picture is hideous.

[-] Asafum@feddit.nl 4 points 2 months ago

Try to tell me this fuck isn't intending on staying past 2028. :/

[-] nymnympseudonym@piefed.social 3 points 2 months ago

His old strategist Bannon said to The Economist just last week that Trump will serve a third term, and that their criteria for success is MAGA in control of every American institution, forever

No, not hyperbole, damn near exact quote

He's been selling Trump 2028 merch for a while now. His new campaign slogan is "Rewrite the rules."

lets hope so, but not for the reasons he would like to.

  1. Holy shit how fucked are are that this is even news. I hate this so much.

  2. I hate when a stupid motherfucker is right because, outside the gold, the marble looks way fuckin better than that green.

  3. To claim that marble and gold is somehow more era appropriate for Lincoln is pretty standard Trump-alternate-reality delusion fueled by narcissism.

[-] brem@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 months ago

Gold is tacky as fuck and that dude wouldn't know good taste even if it was sold at the bottom of a ketchup bottle.

[-] spongebue@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

They both look pretty bad to be honest

[-] brem@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago

Go figure, the fat fuck that wears a girdle and stilts and paints himself orange and has a vagina for a neck doesn't have good taste...

Maybe it's not even up to him to decide. Oh well. He did. Now we have more ugly. He makes everything smell like farts.

[-] Strawberry@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 2 months ago

I think the marble looks weird as fuck and would make the bathroom uncomfortable to be in, while the green tile is very pleasing and cozy, with nice accents

[-] Sterile_Technique@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

...how many bugs -and I don't mean the crawly critters- do you think are making it into the whitehouse through all these renovations?

In the fantasy world of a functional US government following the Trump regime, how do you even handle this? Everything he touches is a gigantic liability.

I think at this point I'd have the WH converted into a museum highlighting shit like the dangers of misinformation, and just pick up ops from one of the military bases that we're sure Trump never set foot in.

For a heterosexual man he sure seems preoccupied with interior design and his makeup.

[-] snooggums@piefed.world 2 points 2 months ago

He is also as terrible at both as the stereotypical heterosexual man.

[-] RaoulDuke@leminal.space 1 points 2 months ago

And love for broadway and The Village People.

[-] VeryVito@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 months ago

This Kidfucker’s Friend saw Saddham’s palace and decided it looked like a good idea.

He shoulda stayed awake for the end of that vine.

[-] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 months ago

He's not getting the damage deposit back

I was about to say "marble, lol. you can clearly see the tile pattern repeating in a mirror image along wall edges". But I grew suspicious so I looked it up. It's a technique called bookmatching. So, it's probably legit. It's also the most expensive kind of marble, of course, because that's what you do with taxpayer money you're entrusted to use responsibly as a servant of the nation. I'm losing my marbles

He should be careful. A doddery old stroke victim with Alzheimer's could slip on all that polished marvel.

[-] brem@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago

Lincoln's ghost will push a bitch.

[-] santa@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago

Renovations should need to go through Congress. Fuck this. Need new oversight.
