Everytime I try to explain the link between anime/manga/video games and the government's role in whitewashing Japan's war crimes and brutal history I get people looking at me like a psychopath.

How hard is it for people to understand that the Japanese government has used art and especially anime to cultivate an image of Japanese history that completely ignores their crimes against humanity. Ffs we're seeing it happen with the entity and the Japanese government even admits to funding anime and forcing authors to abide by their narrative. America does it too.
