On iOS I’m very happy with Memmy, I was on Apollo before and it feels similar design-wise.
I’m on vger.app, which also feels a lot like Apollo. But Memmy is great too!
Agreed.
I’m getting a really weird bug with memmy. Whenever I bring the app back into the foreground I have the colour briefly flash from light mode back to dark mode. Ug.
That is odd. I think there is a Memmy community to report such things. I am on an iPhone 14 Pro and have no such bug so I am assuming this is a device specific thing?
Maybe. I’m on an iPhone 12 mini.
I did scroll the most recent comments in the App Store and see someone say the same. So hopefully it’s on their radar. I don’t see anywhere to report bugs other than GitHub.

iPhone XS Max here, same issue… It appears to be an issue with the automatic switch with OS, as without auto switch on I don’t experience it.
Seems to be a know bug and fixed I the latest test flight version. Was just chatting with them on Discord. They posted this
If you're on Android, I recommend Liftoff. Boost for Lemmy is also probably going to be pretty good when it releases, as the developer's Reddit app was phenomenal.
I just installed LiftOff as I was using the web PWA on my phone and it's a much nicer experience.
I'm waiting for the Sync app though, Reddit Sync was perfect for me!
Try Connect for lemmy if you're on android
My favorite right now is Mlem, it’s similar to Memmy but works better in my experience
Posted this from Mlem.
I’m a former Apollo user and the inspiration is obvious in Mlem
Mlem is my favorite too but they have a long way to go to catch up to Memmy for most of the functionality. It feels very solid compared to Memmy, though.
Was using Jerboa, I like Liftoff better. But I'll be moving to Lemmy Sync as soon as that's available.
I'm pretty happy with Jerboa on Android, although as a long time Boost fan I'm excited see their app for lemmy release
If you're on iOS, Mlem for Lemmy is afaik the only one written in Apple's native SwiftUI. Its IMO the one that integrates most smoothly with the feel of the platform and has the most potential, since it's written natively instead of in a cross-platform framework.
It’s getting better all the time. There’s only a few big missing features left. The biggest being it doesn’t remember posts you visited and no comment editing. I spent the first few weeks on Lemmy switching between Mlem and memmy and they were both pretty broken in complimentary ways. Now, they’re both pretty good but Mlem is more like Apollo. I still keep memmy around for editing posts but that’s the only must have feature missing from Mlem now I think.
I think Mlem will be great in a few more revisions. But Memmy is really good as well. Wef wef is pretty good too although has a lot of the UX issues PWAs slats have. It’s great there’s so many viable options
Connect is stunningly well polished for how little time it's been in development and the dev pushes updates incredibly fast. I'm probably going to switch to sync whenever it gets released bc it was my reddit client of choice but connect is doing quite well in the interim
Yeah why did this get promoted suddenly?
seems there is a bug
Try vger.app as a web app
liftoff... wait, this post is two years old, nvm.
On iOS Bean is in beta and working pretty well. There’s also Voyager that is a web app but you would never know it. Essentially a clone of Apollo.
liftoff works best for me
Nothing beats thunder for me on Android ATM, but there's a lot of apps out there
I like Connect and Jerboa.
