Turns out whipping your supporters into murderous, spittle-blasting psychopaths who threaten the wives of your colleagues isn't a great way to make friends and influence people.

WHO FUCKING KNEW?!

[-] Semi-Hemi-Demigod@kbin.social 11 points 1 year ago

I mean if Blackbeard can figure it out what does that say about Jimmy boy?

Jim Jordan said at a press conference: "The American people are hungry for change."

It's an interesting statement from a man who has never actually tried to change anything.

When he was at Ohio State, when students repeatedly came to him with allegations of sexual abuse, he did nothing. He changed nothing. He allowed the abuse to continue.

He's been in the US House of Representatives for 16 years, and not once has he been the primary sponsor of any bill that was signed into law. He's changed nothing in 16 years. It's an unbelievable record of incompetence.

Jim Jordan is the poster boy for doing nothing, so why would anybody look to him if they want to make changes?

The House GQP ought to be embarrassed for themselves, but they have no sense of shame.

[-] Nightwingdragon@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

Oh, many of them are ashamed.

Then they go and vote for Jordan.

Republicans are the little assholes who never learned how to share in preschool

[-] Tedrow@lemmy.world 15 points 1 year ago

They didn't go to preschool.

I expect a last minute ultra-moderate candidate that will win with moderate R and D votes. The right wingers are going to find themselves frozen out of everything.

Let me dream.

[-] gigachad@feddit.de 23 points 1 year ago

As an European - what in hell is an ultra-moderate?

[-] Zombiepirate@lemmy.world 50 points 1 year ago

From the US perspective?

A conservative who won't try to overthrow democracy.

Truly a rare breed.

[-] SinningStromgald@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago

I really hope they keep holding votes and Jim Gym keeps loosing support. He deserves to be scorned, ridiculed, tried, judged and sentenced like the disgusting foul human sludge that he is.

[-] Haagel@lemmings.world 11 points 1 year ago

Good thing there's nothing important going on in America or in the world that requires the attention of the House of Representatives! /s
