I feel like I've mentioned this a bajillion times in different threads already but Esperaĵo has fandubbed the first season of Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated using Retrieval-based Voice Conversion (RVC), which Esperaĵo's website describes as a "type of AI" (EO: speco de AI). This means that the Esperaĵo team in charge of the fandub still had a real human being doing the actual voice acting — the intonations, pauses and breaths and all that — but that machine learning software was used to change the pitch, resonance and overall quality of the singular VA's voice to match Fred, Velma, Daphne, Shaggy etc.
Now the result of Esperaĵo's usage of RVC obviously doesn't sound as good as if they'd just gotten different people to do the different voices — there's still some "AI fuzz" and whatnot — but the result sure sounds a hell of a lot better than this Banana Fish dub with its literally nonexistent acting, its completely nonsensical intonation and pauses and breaths And All That. And besides, given that Esperaĵo is a small team of volunteers working on a functionally nonexistent budget, their use of "AI" is also a hell of a lot more excusable than Amazon's; Esperaĵo's Scooby dub did also did have a few side characters voiced by other people, and their fandub of the movie Your Name didn't use RVC at all.
