That's what I ran Half Life on, seeing the smooth fps was awe inspiring.

At least 20fps!

Got a Voodoo Banshee mid-way through my first Half-Life playthrought. What a mind blowing experience back then. I regret that I have absolutely no idea what I did with the card though =/

Okay now do it with an AGP card

Or a VESA Local Bus card ... remember when I got my first Cirrus Local graphics card after years with ISA cards 🙂

Damn…. I haven’t thought about those in so long I forgot it was a thing for a minute.

So that bunch of ICs can render this.

Makes me wonder if we got something wrong with our current multi-GHz, 1 GW monoliths.

I had that card. Adding a second card and seeing so little improvement is what convinced me to never try that again.

I remember SLI! Those were fun times. With today's prices I'm glad the concept never amounted to anything, though.

To this day, I don't know how I convinced my mom to take me Black Friday shopping to CompUSA to go buy this. It was on a door buster, and my scrawny little ass squeezed past a crowd to grab the last one on the shelf. I ran that card forever and got my money's worth.

I remember I jury-rigged a little fan on the PCB, cause those chip ran quite hot.

I'm surprised someone managed to get this to work pretty much at all. Figured it would just burst into flames as soon as the MOBO tried to pass power to that card.

@supernight52 @OldQWERTYbastard

That's what the PCI-X to PCI adaptor is for, keeping the angry pixy smoke in & pushing the 1's & 0's. :computerfairies:

You are saying I can finally again use one but not both at the same time?
Oh, no SLI, still amazing!

... wait, no I can't, Windows :/.

(Nvm me, they are just one of by fondest possessions/memories so I like to mention them whenever I can.)
