Halo does not have "built-in messaging around 'protect the homeland'" no matter what tools like Marty O'Donnel think.
Halo (the original, classic Halo produced by Bungie that is) was about religion as a unifying force and the dangers of religious fundamentalism.
This message was lost to chuds who saw the game and thought "cool military!!!" because they don't have two brain cells to rub together. Halo was one of the first games that proved a shooter could have a deeper message behind the action and it's extremely frustrating to see not only what this piece of art has become morphed into by the greed & apathy of 343i as well as the ignorance of bourgeois propagandists.
Sorry for the side rant I just hate how chuds keep trying to appropriate things I like and spineless liberals just surrender them without a fight and let fascists control the narrative.
