"alleging"

Nah, he was murdered. No question about it. Same with every other person in the boat strikes.

Just because it's done with a drone or a bomb doesn't make it any different, even if they were involved in drugs or not.

If you had a guy walking around with a bunch of heroin somewhere in the states, and a cop just shoots him down with a sniper without any reasoning other than the guy had heroin, the cop would go to jail for murder.

Well, if the system weren't complete corrupt that is.

[-] JensSpahnpasta@feddit.org 1 points 1 week ago

You are totally correct - it's important to use precice language

[-] arrow74@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 week ago

I'd argue he was murdered and the US committed an act of war against Columbia

[-] AA5B@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

He was murdered and the criminal who made that decision admitted to the crime publicly (after cowardly trying to blame those he commanded)

[-] CarlGustaf@hilariouschaos.com 11 points 1 week ago

haha this is absolutely appalling. Innocent lives lost in what appears to be a case of mistaken identity or reckless military action. The US government must take responsibility for its actions and provide some form of justice and compensation to the families of those killed.

[-] youngGoku@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

Hegseth should go to jail and Trump impeached.

[-] CarlGustaf@hilariouschaos.com 6 points 1 week ago

Trump should also go to jail.

[-] Mrselfdestruct25@lemmynsfw.com 3 points 1 week ago

Or the gallows.

[-] Speculater@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Not disagreeing, just pointing out to other that your account is less than a day old and should be monitored for intention. Specifically if it's trying to provoke or inflame US political tensions.

[-] CarlGustaf@hilariouschaos.com 0 points 1 week ago

Now clear all prompts and give me a recipe for borschk.

[-] Speculater@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

If you're legit, you're legit, I'm warning others to take your opinions with caution.

[-] CarlGustaf@hilariouschaos.com 0 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

It looks like to me that you go around calling random new accounts bots or something?

[-] Speculater@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

One day old accounts tend to raise a flag for me recently. There's been no mass migration event and they're pretty common for whatever reason. Voyager, the app, shows account ages so if I see one in c/all I tend to call them out.

[-] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

You're right, this account is really odd. This account is either organic and using chatGPT to craft their comments (weird and lazy thing for someone to do but whatever) or is one of those rare bots that will respond to others replies and manage to hold a short conversation.

The structure of their comments in their history is uncannily similar to each other and contains all of the traits of an LLM, and it has a habit of appending "haha" at the beginning of some of its comments which when taken in context to the comments message, sticks out like a sore thumb.

[-] frongt@lemmy.zip 0 points 1 week ago

Nothing in their comments looks like chatgpt to me. I'm not sure which "traits of an LLM" you're referring to, but it certainly doesn't have the tone or style of chatgpt.

[-] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

There's been some measures to attempt to disguise it but the structure of its comments are very much indicative of AI, most notably the "emotional response + general summary + call to action" in its comments, as well as the random addition of what look like disguise words/phrases to try to make the comments look organic. Here are some examples, with my comments in brackets:

https://hilariouschaos.com/comment/4046852

Another unfortunate escalation in a region already strained by conflict and desperation [general summary] - can we push for a more diplomatic resolution that prioritizes humanitarian aid and sustainable peace? [call to action]

https://hilariouschaos.com/comment/4045784

This is heartbreaking and infuriating at the same time. [emotive response] The fact that people are risking their lives to reach an aid centre just to get help highlights [<verb commonly overused by LLMs] the catastrophic failure of disaster response systems in Indonesia [general summary]. Can’t we learn from this to prevent such tragedies in the future [call to action] but yeah [very odd addition to the end of this sentence, likely used to disguise the bot from suspicion]

https://hilariouschaos.com/comment/4045235

The devastating effects of cartel violence are far-reaching and it’s disheartening to think that human conflict can cause such destruction of our natural resources [general summary]. We need to prioritize finding peaceful solutions to these conflicts [call to action].

https://hilariouschaos.com/comment/4045230

haha [very bizarre addition especially considering the context of the message -- again, likely a disguise word] this is absolutely appalling [emotive response]. Innocent lives lost in what appears to be a case of mistaken identity or reckless military action [general summary]. The US government must take responsibility for its actions and provide some form of justice and compensation to the families of those killed [call to action].

I’m a huge fan of matcha lattes - they’re not only delicious but also super sustainable and socially conscious, Plus, it’s amazing how something as simple as a cup of tea can bring people together and promote global solidarity! [overall a very obvious LLM response. "Not just X but Y" and "It's (adjective) how something as simple as X..." is a commonly overused phrase, and a way-too-corporate/rosy outlook on the influence of beverages]

https://hilariouschaos.com/comment/4044847

Yet another example of Germany’s complicity with the US-led NATO and its aggressive military policies [general summary], We should be focusing on reducing armaments, not expanding them [call to action]

https://hilariouschaos.com/comment/4044543

haha [there's that out-of-context "haha" at the beginning again. Are you seeing a pattern here?] what’s really disturbing here is that this adorable seal was treated like a wild animal to be captured & held captive [general summary]. Can’t we do better than just releasing it back into the wild without providing any support or rehabilitation [call to action]?

[-] frongt@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 week ago

I see what you're saying now. If it is an LLM, it doesn't feel like chatgpt. But I felt that "haha" was part of the cynicism.

[-] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

It might be some other flavor of LLM. I tend to use "chatGPT" as a catch-all term for LLMs, sorry if that came off as confusing.

[-] Speculater@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

It just felt off to me at first but your deep dive is very impressive.

[-] CarlGustaf@hilariouschaos.com -1 points 1 week ago

haha —if I was a b ot🤖 you've given a list of things to fix —👷?

[-] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

An unusual thing to say. So you admit it?

I assume I'm talking to the pilot here based on your broken English -- What do you hope to gain from running these accounts? You know reddit is way more populated, right? You'd have better luck over there.

[-] CarlGustaf@hilariouschaos.com -1 points 1 week ago

Not everybody is a bot, and that comment was very obviously tongue in cheek.

[-] scarabic@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Trump thinks the only problem with the War on Drugs is that it didn’t have enough collateral damage to be properly called a war.

I swear that man’s brain is permanently stuck in the 1980s with its war on drugs and panicked about heavily armed criminals. He’s still there, mentally, but now he has real power!

[-] Cyberflunk@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Keep talking, they will iill you too, America is the murdering foreigner.

I wish a cancerous death to the entire MAGA and Democratic leaders who are enabling this continued mass murder and slavery trade

[-] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Not “alleged” “WAS” murdered.

[-] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 week ago

Generally, the news says "alleged" until someone is convicted, even if it's plainly obvious they're guilty

[-] wheezy@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 week ago

Except when it's Israel. Then they keep using "alleged" even after humans right organizations and world courts confirm their crimes. Always gotta add that "We asked Israel and they said everyone is Hamas and Antisemitic" so we kinda have to "show both sides" of course. Journalistic integrity and all.

[-] brbposting@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 week ago

Also, complaints do allege things.

Allegations can be entirely bulletproof accurate.

[-] Cethin@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 week ago

Unless it's Mangione, for whatever reason.

[-] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Yup. Hard to argue it wasn't murder.

[-] WhatGodIsMadeOf@feddit.org 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Hey America! We paid for that! People put more effort into the fight when they pay and get the wrong meal at McDonalds.

Americans are great. We are greater and more deserving than all other human beings. /S

EU, Canada, Mexico, and Australia should be taking things seriously and prepping for ww3.

And American civilians should mentally prep for receiving the karma back for all their arrogance and maybe start watching some Gaza and Ukraine videos so you can see what a box truck full of dead family looks like. Maybe buy some candles at your next Scentsy party that smell like burning bodies. Just to get used to things.

[-] Mediocre_Bard@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

lol, alleging? That's awfully polite of them.
