A guy carrying a swastika flag's not a Nazi?

No.

A guy throwing a sieg heil isn't a Nazi?

No.

A guy saying "I love Hitler" - not a Nazi?

No. You don't know anything else about them!

I don't need to. So fuck that fuckin' Nazi, along with the rest of 'em.

Yes, I did.

Fun fact: Nazi sympathizing tendencies are directly caused by a bricks-to-the-face deficiency

Seems like duck typing is applicable here.

Does or did literally anyone actually say these things?

I mean fuck if they did but this sounds so absolutely implausible.

I know, right? This verbatim from a conversation I had not two hours prior. You can see why I needed to get it off my chest.

Edit: this guy also said that RFK isn't an anti-vaxxer because "he said he's not", so.

Sounds like you had a conversation with a troll and fell hard for the bait.

Or you are making up a story entirely, or embellishing to the point of dishonesty.

In their defence, we should live in a world where trolling is not a thing.

You have no idea of the context for this conversation (because I didn't give any, deliberately, so as not to give away any hints as to my identity), and you're making a false binary out of it. As I said in another reply, this is verbatim from a conversation I had with a real person. I have embellished nothing. If you don't believe it happened, that actually makes me feel better, because confirmation of their pants-on-head insanity is helping me cope with blocking and deleting them.

This guy also said that RFK Jr isn't an anti-vaxxer; that the VA would do a better job with less money; that "good guys with guns" firing back in a darkened movie theatre shooting would not mean more bodies in the ground even in concept; that he'll stand up for cops being attacked (but I'll let you guess his reaction to January 6th); and that "the buck stops with me" means you're responsible for your subordinates in the sense that you fire them if they fuck up, not that you're responsible for the actions they took on your watch.

Please, tell me again you don't think this is real. It really does help.

Exhibit A, a neo-Nazi:

Exhibit B, two neo-Nazis:

To sane and sensible people, anyway. To a Nazi sympathiser (apparently), I guess not so much.

[-] undeffeined@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 week ago

I still can't believe this happened and was just brsushed off... this side by side really demonstrates what it was; and he did it twice.

My favorite argument I heard was that Charlie Kirk "wasn't a Nazi" because he wasn't antisemitic. It's like with some of these people you just can't get them to say someone is a Nazi short of them literally being a member of the literal Nazi party from 1930s Germany.
