I've been wondering - if you have to have a Prime membership to get it, is it really a free game?
Free like buying one and getting one free is. The item is still free, no need to be pedantic.
The key thing is that you can get a free trial of Prime and still keep the game after you cancel it
How does that work? You have a different email/user for each game?
I don't know how friendly the process is, I've not gone through it myself. Most of the games are available for several months though, so you can grab quite a few from one free trial.

It's a fair question to ask IMHO. I just ignore the prime deals, but for a really great game I might make a trial sub.
