I'm glad people are dunking on E33 because I still want to play that game yet and my hype was WAY TOO HIGH, now I know it's not literally everyone's favorite game ever so my expectations are tempered
joined late but so far seeing a bunch of stuff slated for release in 2027... which is not that exciting to think about
Some neat looking new IPs, but nothing that really got me hyped. Guess I'm more a Nintendo hog nowadays.
Missed this thread, so I'll just leave my impressions here :3
There were some really cool announcements like Orbitals (what an amazing art style, holy shit), new Ace Combat, Coven of the Chicken Foot (cuuuute), new Divinity (was the pig eating vomit really necessary?), Gang of Dragon, No Law, new Control (makes me wanna play the first one), Bradley the Badger, Ontos (this one felt disturbing in a good way) and Tank Rat (looks super fun).
The 40k Total War game would get me hyped to try it if it wasn't being presented by that manipulative piece of shit from Stranger Things that I forgot the name, he's even in the game, ugh.
The SF movie actually looked good? Like how lol. It's still a wreck of a cast, but it looked trashy fun. The MK jab tho was just weird and unfunny.
COTW winning best fighting game? Really? I know that's probably not possible, but it just felt like Saudi Arabia threw money to get the win.
Mario Kart winning best racing game, like eh. All I see about it is complaining, I thought Sonic was gonna win.
New Tomb Raider looked AI, there was too many AI slop in there too. AMD had not 1, but 2 AI ads.
Still, the whole show felt weird and dry. Indie of the year presented during the pre-show? And obviously Exp33 won despite not being fucking indie. It soured me how much both Geoff and the Exp33 crew were pushing hard how they were "indie" during the show. I haven't played the game, and still really want to, but that sucked major ass.
I think the main issue with the show was the order of announcements, some big stuff were presented early, then there were lots of times were there weren't many exciting announcements for long periods of time and the last game presentation was the worst I've ever seen, holy shit. Geoff just talked big about the most generic hero shooter ever made that got no one excited. Almost any other trailer presented at the end would have been better than this shit. But I guess all you have to do is throw some money and you get to have the biggest spot in the show for your generic shooter that is gonna shut down 6 months after release.
Have they explained that Geoff Keighley tweet or is he just opening a portal to hell?
Missed most of it watching Nutcracker Fantasy.
Did they just ruin Control by turning it into a Souls-like
