It's so hilarious to watch I had to post this.

Give him a break, it's the first time he actually let go of money.

[-] Wfh@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 month ago

His "business career" is almost entirely made out of failures and bankruptcies, he's very much used to losing shitloads of money. He was a fucking moron long before he became senile.

[-] Mulligrubs@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

My favorite factoid, he charged his own "failing" casinos 90K for each floor walkthrough. One way.

Is that a failed business, or was it in fact designed to "fail" so Trump could make a fortune?

I think he's dumb now, but Roy Cohn taught him well (he was also infamous for skipping bills, screwing contractors, and so on)

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

The most truthful thing I've ever heard him say, even if second-hand, was something Ivanka was relaying in that Born Rich movie....that he pointed out a homeless man and said the homeless man was richer than he was, since Cheeto McPedo was EIGHT BILLION in debt.

To be fair, he's probably near even touched a coin before

[-] Imgonnatrythis@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 month ago

Imagine being a 270lb block of muscle pumped full of testosterone standing this close to a fascist murderer and child rapist and not ripping even one of his limbs off? Talk about a setup for regret.

[-] HertzDentalBar@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 month ago

Remember these are military football players. So 50/50 they are also rapists or fascists.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Taking the coin with a pinched left hand, and placing it into the open palm of his right, the president heaved the coin forward, sending it in a feeble, plunging arc. Helpfully, he pointed out where the coin had landed after it hit the ground.

God, that last part made me literally LOL.

If this were Biden, the Faux Cinematic Universe would be calling for impeachment/Amendment 25 over just this alone...

[-] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 month ago

He's not athletic enough for a coin toss. That's quite something.

[-] aceshigh@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

He’s not athletic enough to drink from a bottle of water. That’s quite sometbing too.

[-] switcheroo@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

This clown can't do a LOT of normal things. The only thing he's good at is appealing to morons and grifting.

[-] Typhoon@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

He was born rich. It's the first time he's handled coins.

[-] Sculptor9157@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 month ago

Not rich enough, apparently.

[-] Jumi@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

This man truly represents the country he leads

TIL you are a country

Stuns? I don't think "stuns" is the correct for geriatric Bruisey-hand McShit-his-pants's inability to flip a coin. He often falls asleep in important meetings and goes off on senile rants. So, him not being able to flip a coin seems pretty on point.

[-] Jollyllama@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

Must be the flat feet

[-] becausechemistry@lemy.lol 2 points 1 month ago

I am once again begging people to not post headlines that start with “Trump, 79,” that doesn’t end with. Well. You know.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

Honestly, I think it's hilarious that they keep emphasizing his age after years of the bIdEnSoOld BS, even from alleged allies...

[-] becausechemistry@lemy.lol 1 points 1 month ago

Same problem as in 2016. Everyone assumed they’d beat Trump. Their main opposition would be in the primaries, because nobody would really vote for him, right?

Wrong, twice. And as bad as the first term felt, this one has been so much more catastrophic.

[-] mazzilius_marsti@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

bros he tossed that coin like it offended him

[-] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

It was brown and of a lower denomination?

[-] PearOfJudes@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 month ago

I genuinly do not give af. Trump is incompetent, and we can all gloat as leftists at his incompetence, but it's his evil which matters. And frankly, he's a very good propagandist.

[-] ExFed@programming.dev 1 points 1 month ago

Are we sure he wasn't just rigging the coin-toss in the most obvious way possible?

[-] dhork@lemmy.world 0 points 1 month ago

I had thought about that, especially since Army won the toss, and the Army shares a "birthday" with Trump. He would be a petty enough bitch to fix a coin toss because of that.

But I chased down video of the toss, and I don't think he looked at the coin long enough to acknowledge which side was up. Rather, I think he tossed the coin as if he was tossing it into a fountain. Which is probably how he regards any coin which doesn't have his picture on it.

(You would think he has seen enough football games to know how the coin toss goes. But keep in mind he is originally from Queens, NY, which is Jets territory. One could forgive him for not bothering to really follow the NFL over the years if the Jets were all he got to watch.)

[-] KnitWit@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

He owned a USFL team, the New Jersey Generals. Shockingly, he bankrupted the team and is widely viewed as the catalyst for the league folding.

[-] Darohan@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 month ago

Trump does "worst coin flip ever", asked to leave football stadium.

[-] rafoix@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

lol this will be the official MAGA coin flip style from now on. I really hope they show that on their Trump commemorative coin commercials.

What a doofus. He's more doofy than GWB

[-] Mulligrubs@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

I used to think GWB would be the worst President of my lifetime.

Now, I fondly remember GWBs fumbling in comparison.

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me... you can't get fooled again"

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

I used to think GWB would be the worst President of my lifetime.

Well, Ronnie Raygun was still in living memory for me, so....while W/Cheney had that Iraq thing, Ronnie Raygun did a lot more damage to this country. And while most people like to add "-gate" to words for scandals, due to Watergate, Iran/Contra was arguably worse.

[-] Atelopus-zeteki@fedia.io 0 points 1 month ago

Is it possible he has never flipped a coin, nor ever seen someone flip a coin, that he really doesn't understand the basic intuitive physics behind "flipping" a coin? smh

[-] Lucky_Acid@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Yes, it's very possible. It's like how he thinks you're supposed to pat children on the head with Hershey bars at Halloween.

[-] Atelopus-zeteki@fedia.io 1 points 1 month ago

A friend, in reference to this, used the phrase "plastic people". Sigh, they really are. Remember those photos of trump trying to stand like a normal human being, and failing?

[-] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

From the rob liefeld 90s school of anatomy.

[-] tuff_wizard@aussie.zone 0 points 1 month ago
[-] Bronzebeard@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 month ago

He leans so his tie looks straight in photos instead of contouring over his gut.

[-] spacemanspiffy@lemmy.world -1 points 1 month ago

Eh, it's goofy looking but he had gloves on. I'm all for shitting on this dude but this is kind of nothing.
