There is Tasks.org
If you're able to, I just use CalDav with Tasks/DavX on Android.
what is your dav server?
I use self-hosted Baikal for CalDAV (calendar and tasks) and CardDAV (contacts).
A very good but corporate option is Todoist. I've tried most and this one ticks all the boxes, including that the free version is way adequate for how I use it.
I use this, and I encourage everyone to support the dev.
Its so multi-purpose, and its syncing is so solid, that I use it as a calendar and bookmark sync also.
Ok so I have a few options for you. Vikunja is a great self hosted option. I like it's UI and the UX is very intuitive. However, you will need a domain name or rig up a VPN to sync it up properly. Another option is Super Productivity. Super Productivity enables you to sync between systems using something like Dropbox, proton drive, or even self hosted options like Nextcloud.
Forgot to add, vikunja does have a mobile app but it lacks functionality. That said, the mobile in browser version of the app is excellent
We use ticktick it's decent
I use Fossify calendar for recurring and notifications. For standard checklists, I use Joplin.
