What's a good place to make a blog? (lemmy.world)

Basically, Title. Since October I've been writing some stuff, usually guides, but I've never really figured out what would be a good place to post them... I've considered looking into the FediVerse or anything with ActivityPub or something le Akismet to allow for comments, ideally making space for discussion if desired.

I thought about making a site, but I figured something not too dissimilar from Medium would be better for discoverability.

I have extremely little knowledge, so I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Ghost is likely what you’re looking for, a strong blogging platform with good activitypub integration.

EDIT: Ghost doesn't seem to have other Instances besides the main one? I'm not debating WriteFreely

What's your technical skill?

You can host a really simple blog for free if you are comfortable with github, markdown, and Hugo

Is built that way. There's lots of premade themes.

If you're (rightfully) adverse to github you can also use codeberg actions but I haven't done that yet. I'm wanting to though!
