Good thing Biden fixed the post office.
When he was president at r/politics I got in a few arguments when I said Biden could just fire DeJoy. I got lectured that there was some kind of board involved. So then I said Biden could just pack the board and then they could fire DeJoy. But then I was told that wasn't possible. So I really mad and even though I knew it was 100% a waste of time - I googled and I found it was possible. But then my interlocutors said packing the board was surely more complicated then the article suggested. First of all..
Okay, okay. Smol Bean Biden can't do anything because... I dunno... Norms? At that point I had to give up. This year I got mad all over again this year when Trump started to do whatever he wanted. For example - created his Gestapo with a budget larger than the military of most countries and he created concentration camps in the US and abroad.

A few years into his term, enough of the board had been replaced with Biden appointees to fire him without any packing, but they still kept him.
...and he created more concentration camps in the US and abroad.
Related to this, Trump's recent signing of an EO to reschedule Marijuana should really be shoved in those fucking nerds' faces as one of the many examples of "oh turns out this good thing was super fucking easy for the president to do and Biden could have chosen to do it at any time but didn't."
What I love about GOP SCOTUS's 2024 immunity ruling is that it was 100% for Trump. First - it made his three major legal problems disappear. Second - they hoped he'd use the ruling - cough - liberally if he won in 2024. Third - the GOP justices acted as if Biden didn't even exist. They knew that Joe "Norms Respecter" Biden wouldn't use any of brand-new powers they created for the president that they pulled right out of their ass. Biden could have issued dozens of EOs and forced them to rule against him simply because he was a democrat. But they knew he wouldn't do a fucking thing and they were right on the money.
For anything important you should already be paying to have a record of when you mailed it and tracking. Even if the post mark is later, the receipt of when you handed responsibility to USPS will be helpful for proving you did what you were expected and can't control the mail's services
I shouldn't have to mail everything certified letter.
Most things don't really matter and don't need to be but if you had something you needed to get somewhere and prove you sent it by a deadline then sending certified has always been recommended
I imagine this has more to do with further limiting mail-in ballots.
Absolutely. Just hold ballots and don't stamp them until after the election.
It also makes it easier to go after people for process violations that can be fabricated whole cloth.
