I really hate "phone bad, book good" people.

Ebooks are books. Audiobooks are books. Wikipedia is as good as a physical encyclopedia. Not all books are quality books just because they are printed. Physical books also degrade over time, particularly modern ones.

There are advantages and disadvantages to every medium. Just let people use whatever they feel is better.

(That said, research from trustable sources and verify the information, have some critical thinking, don't just believe in random Facebook posts/magazines/whatever regardless of medium)

I always assumed it was more of a "social media doomscrolling bad" than actually "phone bad" thing.

Its less the technology itself is bad and more "having a source of never ending up to date information in your phone is something that the human Braun obviously did not evolve to handle and causes extreme levels of stress and makes people less likely to actively engage. Most people are also seemingly unable to limit their own consumption because it is designed in such a way that doing so also means that you are missing out on connections with people that you actually know and now there are some things that you can "only do through your phone so you need to have one to live in modern society so opting out isn't really an option." I could go on longer but I think you get the point.

Me too! But that phrase has inspired my work so much, I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't say I also appreciate them.

Your work looks like it belongs in a book, so I'd say you did well. :D
