Good tips! I'll have to try this out. I also don't have a dishwasher, and I've found something that helps me get through it is doing stimming while I work. For me this has been whistling and singing because both are something I'm bad at but want to be better at. They take a little mental focus to follow tunes or remember lyrics, and the dishes fly by while I'm honed in on that. Your mileage may vary and this is not easy depending on living situation, but incorporating this has helped me a lot.
