Those arrested included two Ukrainians, one of them an Orthodox Church priest, and three Spaniards.

It was removed from the country in 2016 and priests were smuggling it. I had hoped to be able to be forgiving of someone in a desperate situation related to war x_x

It belongs in its proper home, the British Museum.

Scythian metalworking was amazing, their gold jewelry is absolutely stunning, see it if you have the chance.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

MADRID (AP) — Spanish police said Monday they have confiscated 11 pieces of ancient gold jewelry that were taken out of Ukraine illegally in 2016.

A police statement said five people who were attempting to sell the pieces in Spain have been arrested in recent weeks.

Those arrested included two Ukrainians, one of them an Orthodox Church priest, and three Spaniards.

They went missing after being put on display between 2009 and 2013 in a museum in Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital.

The pieces are being studied by Spain’s National Archeological Museum and the country’s Cultural Heritage Institute.

Interior ministry attachés in Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, North Macedonia and Ukraine helped with the investigation, police said.

The original article contains 177 words, the summary contains 113 words. Saved 36%. I'm a bot and I'm open source!

Russia truly is a kleptocracy

Edit: Yes I've been corrected already. I guess that's what happens when I assume. XD

  1. Russia did not do this.
  2. Even if Russia is a kleptocracy, it has nothing to do with this article.
  3. You didn’t read the article.
