I feel so fucking sorry for that child.

I really hope that mom gets the mental health help she clearly needs

Americans who want mental healthcare can't even get it or afford it, let alone this space case

I've been looking for a therapist for the past 5 years and no place will even put me on a waiting list even though I have an official MDD diagnosis. There's no way this lady is getting any help. Mental healthcare in this country is fucked.

Where the fuck do you live where you can't even do virtual therapy?

[-] Fosheze@lemmy.world 3 points 11 months ago

I live in the US and the reason is insurance. My insurance doesn't cover virtual therapy.

Hmmm. That fuckin sucks

[-] DarkThoughts@kbin.social 47 points 1 year ago

Fucking hell.
Can you imagine, her being on the bathroom floor, and some sort of complication happens? Her all alone, no one able to help her or the baby? She risked not just her own life but also that of the baby over nothing but complete idiocy. That baby will grow up having absolutely no chance in life.

@OP, if that's your screencap, for the love of everything, please report her.

Yeah it’s clear she thinks of dangerous situations as fine if you survive without issue. Unfortunately that’s not uncommon. More people need to understand “probably nothing will go wrong, but the odds aren’t nearly good enough to bet that much with that little payout”

Combine two of the most entitled groups of lunatics into one and watch what happens...

I used to use Livejournal, and one of the communities on there was called unassisted birth. The women in there delivered babies without any medical personnel in attendance, usually just in their tub or something, and advised other women to do it too. They would go up to seven weeks overdue!

Also by not registering her newborn this affects the census that could impact how much her community receives in funding. Yet another way she's sabotaging her own interests.

She'll be the first one to complain when her area has poor service though.

it's crazy to me how strong of a case some people make for eugenics /s

[-] yuriy@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Please tell me that CPS could, in fact, take that baby.

I'm honestly not sure. They're pretty hands off with right wing psychos.
