as a pathfinder 2e player, i find it very weird that, in d&d, cratures can attack so many times with no penalty

Attacks are structured a bit differently. Actual, decent damage is usually spell based, unless you’ve got something wacky going on item-wise or you’re a rogue (which only attacks once per turn). And you can usually only cast like 1 damaging spells per turn.

@PugJesus @festnt A round is 6 seconds. An extraordinary fighter can physically attack three times in 6 seconds. There's even a scene in the last DnD film where a character kills (almost realistically) a handful of guards in exactly 6 seconds.

in pf2e a round is also 6 seconds, and you can also attack 3 times in a turn, it's just that you get -5 on the attack roll for the second and -10 for the third (or -4 and -8 for agile weapons)

so you could also kill 3 people in one turn, if your level is high enough
