For the past couple of weeks, some of us moderators of the subreddit r/Silksong, have been working on an exciting project. We’ve created a lemmy instance for fans of indie games. We officially run and support this instance and the Silksong community on it. Please check it out at !Silksong@indie-ver.se

I invite you, current users of the Fedi-verse, to join us at @indie-ver.se, subscribe and interact with the communities there, as they grow. So we can support both a more free internet, and indie game communities. See you soon!

also r/Balatro joined at !Balatro@indie-ver.se

Hmm I wonder if I can subscribe while in the Boost app

(I ended up subscribing using a browser)

The links are not working in Boost, but it's possible to search for it instead. I was able to subscribe that way

Sync doesn't support instances with hyphens in their URL? Add it to the list lmao, but I hope other apps didn't overlook this too.

Sync hasn't been updated since March 2024. There is no new Api support, and should be considered abandoned.

As long time sync user I have shifted to summit. It took a little getting used to, but it's the closest alternative that's actively being developed.

Same here and it really upset me switching. I had used sync for a very long time on Reddit and was thrilled with the announcement it was coming to lemmy

I know the dev was renowned for disappearing but the lemmy app launch left a bad taste. I'm glad I didn't put any money into that app but I truly hope he's ok. I know he's had to take breaks from development for mental health reasons

Summit was the closest I found to what I was familiar with. There's only a couple small things I wish were different but overall it's been great

I wonder if it's a flaw with some tool or library that multiple apps are using.

Edited the post with better links

Better is subjective. Your original one is probably more supported. Sync isn't updated.
