Don't confuse US consequences for EU consequences. It's pretty well accepted that Americans receive more protections from companies as a result of EU legal cases than our own FTC and FCC.
I never believe these kinds of people suffer actual consequences until it's actually happened and they run out of appeals. Or lifespan.
