This is a crazy idea, but add water to your soup. Dilute it. It'll be less salty.
I will still put salt on it
FYI: "Too much salt" isn't bad for you at all if you don't have high blood pressure or you're retaining too much water.
That's it. Nothing else bad. It's also the safest thing to try if you have hypotension.
Isn't this the case for pretty much all ready-made meals?
For some reason commercial broths are bad for this.
Which is weird, because when you make stock you do not want to add salt until the very end, if at all.
"In contrast, every Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Waitrose, Co-op, Lidl and Covent Garden soup tested had salt levels at or below the government target."
Phew! Pretty much the only soup I eat on a regular basis is the Covent Garden Classic Chicken. To which I add some black pepper, some grilled chicken (if I have leftovers), and some Mahi Bhut Jolokia hot sauce. But I've never wanted to add salt.
Waiting for the uk govt to ban soup because “think of the children”
Yeah. I remember the last time they tried to ban ready meals. We are a nation of nothing. No housing, no food, no nothing - the ultimate austerity.
My only wish is that the VPN I have to use to even browse steam workshop also physically transported me to Germany or France or something. Tories out, Tories in, things can only ever get worse.
Ready meals are unhealthy, not hugely tasty, and more expensive than making it yourself.
