I love this comic and it’s a reoccurring conversation. What has worked for y’all for sharing tasks, specifically at home?

be a feminist. all tasks are our tasks. my partner and I have our own strengths. we try and lean into those.

If you need to start somewhere create a chore sheet, sign and date when you do them. you quickly have a record of imbalances like who is doing more than their share of the dishes

lol. sorry but for some reason this thing with agile for software development and scoring user stories. could be interesting for a family with bidding on points for tasks.

it could be like that, fam. or the wheel of doom, you spin, you get what you get and you don't throw a fit!

Ah making the chart is a chore of itself but it’s a good idea I’m starting to do (and adding time is especially important)

Yeah helping is not the same as taking responsibility for a thing. That's what needs to be distributed. If you're in charge of taking the garbage you shouldn't have to be reminded. If you're in charge of evening meals you shouldn't be waiting to be told when and what to cook. For each "department" there needs a head and nobody should be head of everything. The head can of course ask assistance whenever it makes sense.
