Not surprisingly, it’s in a deep red district, currently represented by Mike Collins, author of the Laken Riley bill. Not that hypocrisy is a smoking gun these days, but those migrants are going to be counted in the census. Thus, this is a way for Republicans to use Migrants to pad their count for the House of Representatives/electoral college.

That won't work until the next census, right? I don't think representatives are allocated based on a live running tally of the population.
